Who doesn't love apple cider in the fall?
Here is my simple recipe for the yummiest cider!
Perfect for a crowd...
You need:
2 64-oz. bottles Trader Joe's Spiced Cider*
1-2 apples of your choice, sliced into rounds
1 orange, sliced into rounds
10-12 cinnamon sticks
1 vanilla bean, scraped**
Dump everything into a large pot.
Simmer & serve.
Garnish with a cinnamon stick.
{serves 10-12}
*This cider is awesome. It comes pre-spiced, and is unsweetened, made from fresh apples. If you don't have Trader Joe's, use another brand, or just regular cider plus desired spices (cloves, nutmeg, star anise, etc...).
**The vanilla seeds are what you want in the cider. You can throw in the pod, too, but if you are going to leave it to simmer a while, remove the pod before it gets bitter.
