I found the tutorial by Rae for this Spring Ruffle Top on Lil Blue Boo. I went with the gathered front- rather than pleated- included the pockets option, and added rick rack trim. I love it and couldn't wait to wear it here! (Too bad my sweater covered it up most of the time!)
I made this fabric necklace about 5 minutes after reading this Joy's Hope post, using scraps from my quilt. The pattern is a little confusing (and I'm not alone), so I just made it work for me. Mine came out shorter, I found wood beads were better than styrofoam, and I thought a ribbon closure was the way to go.Creativity is all about taking inspiration and adapting methods to best suit you!
Now go make something for yourself!

I love both of these! The top is so cute and perfect for summer. I have been eyeing that necklace pattern on Joy's Hope as well and this is just the kick I need. I love the ribbon!
Where do you usually find all your great fabrics?
ETSY! I love Heather Bailey, Amy Butler, Sandi Henderson, and Anna Maria Horner. They can all be found by doing a quick search under 'supplies'.
Speaking of fabric and designers, I sure hope Marina likes Sandi Henderson (specifically her Farmers Market line)... ;)
it is so cute!! I went to look to see how hard it will be & girl!! It looks hard& I thought I could sew!!!! Is it??? I do not get how to do the trapezoid part!!
one more question... how much fabric did you get to make the shirt?? Thanks:)
You are so stinkin' crafty! I love it. Both the shirt and necklace are fabulous.
I love the necklace...I saw it on Joy's Hope too but haven't gotten around to making it yet. It's SO cute though!!!
I am not very good with a sewing machine, unless it is a straight line. But I just poured some coffee...is that creative enough?
Soooo cute! I wish I were half that crafty!
Too cute! But making one for me, hmmmm I'lll have to think about that one. Love the name of your blog, brought a smile to my face.
Blessings from Costa Rica,
Sarah Dawn
