Zoo highlights: Flamingos, Creepy-Crawlies, Elephant tricks, new baby Giraffe (born just before our arrival), Gorillas, and... shocker: the gift shop!
***
We stopped to "wind down" at Seaport Village, which included Ben & Jerry's, tree climbing, and fun at the hat shop.

DAY 4:
Waterfront breakfast at Red Sails, on Shelter Island.

***
We spent the day at the beach in Coronado, and had refreshments at the Hotel Del (including rainbow candy sticks).

***
After the beach, good quality playtime with cousins Reese (4), Lansing (2), and Finley (12 weeks). Okay, it was mostly me playing with Finley. In my mom's words, I likely "dropped an egg" during the baby fix.

You visited some of my favorites. We have zoo passes so we visit at least once or twice a month. Yay-san Diego's awesome!
You Mattos' and your coordinating outfits... your mom must be so proud. :) (I have to agree with her about the "dropping an egg" business with you and that baby. Don't get any ideas! You still have to meet mine... who at the moment has no idea who I am...
we really are leading parallel lives! We too went to Coronado Beach & the San Diego Zoo over spring break!
