Not all yogurt is created equal!

While yogurt is a powerful SuperFood, sadly much of the "yogurt" we find at the store is no more than a (processed) sugary custard. Don't even get me started on those yogurt drinks- you know, the neon-colored type, with enticing cartoon characters on the labels?! Here's a good article from the SuperFoods Rx Newsletter, to help clarify what to look for in a good quality yogurt. My personal favorite is Trader Joe's Organic lowfat yogurt in Vanilla Bean!

You poor souls. Trader Joes's is the best! It is a health food store, they don't stock anything containing processed sugars or hydrogenated oils, and have lot's of hand-packaged goodies. It's pretty inexpensive, too. Not the best selection of produce in the world, but enough to get by if you need a specialty item (for which I head to Whole Foods).
